Easily share evidence from MSAB and Cellebrite with Magnet Review
Digital investigations often involve evidence generated by different tools in the lab, and in different formats, which can complicate evidence review.
Magnet Review enables you to share digital evidence from a variety of sources and tools, so your teams can access all their evidence together in one location, simplifying the review process from the lab to court while giving them a thorough, unified view of their investigation.
Review can not only import evidence from Magnet Forensics tools like Magnet Axiom but also from other forensic tools in your lab, including MSAB XRY and Cellebrite Physical Analyzer. With Review’s new evidence upload feature, you can now add evidence from XRY and Physical Analyzer directly to Review from your browser!
How to upload evidence in Review
Review users will now see a new “Upload Evidence” option in both the Case Dashboard and the Evidence Sources card within a specific case. Selecting this option will allow you to either create a new case from your new evidence source or add it to an existing case. Then, simply choose your source type and select the specific evidence file you want to upload.
Once your upload has begun, you’ll see a status window to indicate progress on each upload, with the option to pause or cancel if needed. Once the upload is complete, the ingestion process will begin with the status shown on the case or evidence source.
The new evidence upload feature is available with Review Lite, Essentials, and Advanced and supports the following tools and formats:
- MSAB XRY XML exports (zipped/compressed)
- Cellebrite Reader reports (UFDR) or Cellebrite Physical Analyzer XML exports (zipped/compressed)
- Magnet Axiom Review Exports (zipped/compressed) – coming soon
