Every victim deserves a name: A case study of Magnet Griffeye’s impact in child abuse cases
One offender, active for seven years in day-care centres, was arrested after CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material) was found on his seized computer. Although he did not know the identity of all the victims he had filmed, triage and facial recognition helped identifying all the victims. The case highlights important lessons learnt and shows the direct benefits for local police forces to use their resources effectively. The case study also describes how the work process worked and how to identify victims quickly and effectively before contacting the families.
