Magnet Forensics Raises Funds to Protect Children from Online Exploitation

Canadian Forces veterans to receive training as digital forensics investigators through the funds raised

KINSAWaterloo, ON (September 30, 2015)Magnet Forensics hosted a charity golf tournament in support of the Kids Internet Safety Alliance (KINSA), a Canadian charity dedicated to protecting children globally from exploitation and other crimes perpetrated online on Friday, September 25th at Conestoga Country Club. 

“Magnet Forensics is proud to support the work of KINSA, who are helping protect children around the world from predators who aim to exploit them online,” said Jad Saliba, Founder and CTO of Magnet Forensics.  “The team at Magnet Forensics is dedicated to not only building a great company with quality products that help keep communities around the world safe, but to also giving back to charitable organizations that share our values.”

The event raised $25,000 for KINSA which will allow them to launch their Digital Solider Initiative.  With the money raised by Magnet Forensics, KINSA will be able to send two Canadian Forces veterans to be trained as digital forensics investigators at a leading training institution.

The employees at Magnet Forensics selects a charitable cause on an annual basis to support. They conduct a number of internal and external events to raise funds for, and awareness of, the cause and organization.  In 2014, the team raised $12,000 for Operation Underground Railroad, a non-profit organization that rescues children from slavery.
