Canadian Forces veterans to receive training as digital forensics investigators through the funds raised
Waterloo, ON (September 30, 2015) – Magnet Forensics hosted a charity golf tournament in support of the Kids Internet Safety Alliance (KINSA), a Canadian charity dedicated to protecting children globally from exploitation and other crimes perpetrated online on Friday, September 25th at Conestoga Country Club.
“Magnet Forensics is proud to support the work of KINSA, who are helping protect children around the world from predators who aim to exploit them online,” said Jad Saliba, Founder and CTO of Magnet Forensics. “The team at Magnet Forensics is dedicated to not only building a great company with quality products that help keep communities around the world safe, but to also giving back to charitable organizations that share our values.”
The event raised $25,000 for KINSA which will allow them to launch their Digital Solider Initiative. With the money raised by Magnet Forensics, KINSA will be able to send two Canadian Forces veterans to be trained as digital forensics investigators at a leading training institution.
“We are grateful to the team at Magnet Forensics for selecting KINSA as their charitable cause in 2015,” said Paul Gillespie, President and CEO of KINSA. “Through Magnet Forensics’ generous support, KINSA will be able to launch our Digital Soldier Initiative, leveraging the skills and dedication of Canadian Forces veterans and training them for their next mission as digital forensics investigators so they can help keep the internet safe for children here in Canada and around the world.”
