Magnet AXIOM 3.0 Will Help You Find More of the Evidence You Need
Magnet Forensics is excited to unveil Magnet AXIOM 3.0—the most powerful and intuitive version of Magnet AXIOM yet.
With AXIOM 3.0, users can now get even more relevant evidence from more sources than ever before—including Macs, Facebook warrant returns, Slack, and much more. And with the new updates to Timeline, users can view the data in a way that makes the most sense to how they work a case.
Magnet AXIOM 3.0 is available for download now. Users can download the update within AXIOM or at the Magnet Forensics Customer Portal. AXIOM 3.0 is also available as part of a free 30-day trial.
Bringing Support for macOS
With AXIOM 3.0, the Magnet approach towards computer forensics was important to continue with Mac computers. Being able to reliably support APFS was a considerable milestone, but AXIOM 3.0 runs broader and deeper—adding support for macOS artifacts other tools don’t support, such as support for parsing user accounts information, FSEvents, connected devices, MRUs and the KnowledgeC database.
A New and Enhanced Timeline
Helping examiners explore the evidence in a way that’s intuitive, AXIOM 3.0 now has a revamped version of Timeline—a new dedicated explorer that helps examiners jump right to all of the timestamped artifacts and file system data in one view. With easy filters and sorting options, this view will help make review and analysis easier for users.
New Cloud Sources
With new and varied cloud sources becoming common in cases, examiners need to be able to retrieve evidence from new sources. With AXIOM 3.0, users can now get evidence from Slack and public data from Twitter, as well as “Download Your Info” & warrant return packages from Facebook.
Media Categorization Enhancements
In an effort to give ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) investigators the best data possible, AXIOM 3.0 has seen increased compatibility with Project VIC/CAID hash sets and a redesigned media categorization to help focus investigations on the data that is important.
More Improvements and Artifacts Support
In addition to all of these updates, Magnet AXIOM 3.0 also sees improvements to the Dynamic App Finder and Magnet. AI, as well as a host of new supported artifacts available. Head over to the Magnet Forensics blog for more in-depth details.
