Murder. Terrorism. Child exploitation. Everyday, law enforcement around the world uses the tools made by Magnet Forensics to help find the evidence to not only solve these crimes but to stop them from happening in real time. The stakes are high and that’s why we care so much about what we do.

Who are we?

We build software that automates the recovery of digital forensic evidence, helping thousands of forensics professionals around the world find, analyze, and report on the digital evidence from computers, smartphones, IoT devices, and the cloud.

Our flagship software, Magnet AXIOM, has revolutionized the work of digital forensics investigators in law enforcement and government agencies, and has been essential in cases involving child exploitation, murder, terrorism, and more.

What we are looking for:

We hire passionate developers who love tough technical challenges and are always looking for better ways to do things. Building software that has to recover a mountain of data, be highly performant and deliver an exceptional customer experience, requires the sharpest technical minds. At Magnet Forensics, you will be fully integrated into our software development team. You’ll start by getting comfortable with the code, working through bugs and basic features, all the while writing code that will actually be seen in production. As you ramp, you’ll be given more complex features just like any other member of the team. In fact, some of the key features of our software were written by our students!

Required Skills:

  • You are a 3rd or 4th year student working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related discipline
  • We work in C#, but as long as you are proficient in an object oriented language, we want to talk to you
  • You are highly accountable and take ownership of your projects
  • Status quo and conventional thinking aren’t in your vocabulary
  • You like working in a collaborative environment with smart, funny and interesting people

Why Magnet?

You will be paired with some of our amazing and brilliant employees to provide you mentorship and guidance throughout your work term. At Magnet, we believe in continuous learning and that there are no silly questions.
